Seven Tips
for Keeping
Your Shower
Curtain Clean
1. The drier you can keep your shower curtains the fresher and cleaner they will remain.
2. Give shower curtains a quick rinse to remove any soap or dirty water after each shower.
3. Several options after each shower can help prevent mold and mildew from building up on your shower curtains. Remove excess water from shower curtains by either wiping it off with a sponge or towel or simply shaking it off. Keep shower curtains partially open to allow them to dry completely and to release humidity from behind them and to keep it from remaining in any folds of the shower curtains.
4. Daily cleaning products for shower curtains are also available to form a protective barrier from water as well as to keep mold and mildew from attaching.
5. For a more thorough cleaning of vinyl shower curtains, throw in washing machine with a few towels to help scrub the curtains and regular detergent on warm. Remove before spin cycle and hang to let air-dry. Do not put shower curtains in dryer, as they could melt.
6. Cotton shower curtains may call for cleaning more often.
7. A shower liner is another option to keep your shower curtains clean, whether your shower curtains are made from synthetic material or fabric.
